Continuing to build out our presence in Oregon’s highly populated neighborhoods and cities is something we believe will further compliment Nectar’s expansion plans. Portland houses more than 2.5 million residents of the 4.4 million residents of Oregon. We are pleased to be expanding our foot print in the city of Portland. The 2,800 square foot facility is located at 8601 SW Terwilliger Blvd, in the heart of Burlingame, a very desirable and upscale neighborhood with excellent proximity to major freeways and arteries. The company operates eight OLCC licensed dispensaries, five OLCC licensed cultivation centers and three OLCC licensed wholesale and distribution licenses.

PORTLAND, Ore., Ap/PRNewswire/ - Nectar Holdings, Inc. Announces the Grand Opening of 8th Oregon Cannabis Dispensary I don't want them to fail I just want all the good employees that they do have to get the recognition and direction they deserve.Nectar Holdings, Inc. Turns out I needed to sell weed back in Nebraska with the owners. There are untouchable people at Nectar, I thought being (by their standards) the perfect employee would make me one. But whatever you do, do not EVER call them out for hypocrisy.
NECTAR PORTLAND FREE
Feel free to make as many cash handling or inventory errors as you like. I was confident that I was as valued an employee as they told me I was. I would read weekly notes and laugh at what people got wrong, I was proud that I had played a major role in making my store run so smooth. Did my best to build my staff up on paper while solving their issues in real time.īut looking back, they took major advantage of me. I defended nectar for their choices and practices every day. I was voted employee of the month three different times by three different staffs. I got nothing but praise and props from customers and my bosses. I was only late one day, ever (by 5 minutes). I worked extremely hard every single day for them. I look back on my time at Nectar as a profound learning experience. One thing no one tells you though, is once you move on to another shop and start sharing that you worked at Nectar… You’ll almost always get some type of sigh or offhand comment because honestly, most people don’t think highly of corporate cannabis. They also tend to promote from within, so starting out in an entry-level position does not mean that you will be stuck in that same position for long. However, since they do have a multitude of teams, stores and departments, there is a lot of room for growth and you’ll find a lot more opportunities at Nectar than you would at a mom and pop type shop. This is because they have various teams in their warehouse (outside of the stores) that take care of everything from intake and joint rolling to packaging and inventory management. However that role really is just a glorified budtender, because you don’t learn anything you need to know to run an actual dispensary. I was there for a little over two years, and worked my way up to store manager. However if you’re trying to get a shift covered, it’s not always a guarantee. Basically what I’m saying is that if you wanted to pick up a bunch of shifts at other stores, they make it really easy to get more hours. At the time of my employment, they used a very effective program called Deputy for scheduling and it also allowed for communication between the stores. They go above and beyond with employee education, it does not end at training but continues throughout the entirety of your employment with them. Nectar is a great company for someone who is just starting out in the cannabis industry.
